Two years ago, PAREI laid out a plan called Vision 2030 that included building a new home as well as growing our staff capacity. Thanks to your investment in our mission, we succeeded at the first goal and now we’re proud to announce that PAREI is growing our staff considerably!
As of January 6th, Denise Hutchins will be PAREI’s second-ever Executive Director! Denise lives with her husband in Campton with two school-aged sons. She will bring new enthusiasm and expertise in business management, communications, fundraising, technology, energy, public relations and event management. As Associate Professor of Practice for the PSU School of Business, Denise has spent the last 10 years educating students about the importance of communicating a compelling story and working with her students and local organizations to help solve marketing challenges and build better brand awareness. Denise is ready to hit the ground running and looks forward to working with staff, members and donors in 2025 to grow PAREI’s presence in the community.
In addition, Sandra Jones, our current Executive Director is staying on as Programs Director which will allow her to devote more time to PAREI’s solar energy, energy consulting and climate advocacy programs as well as grant writing that will bolster all of PAREI’s programs. Sandra is the co-founder of PAREI and has been running the organization since 2004. Over the past 20 years under Sandra’s leadership, PAREI has won countless awards and grants such as USDA’s seed grant that launched Local Foods Plymouth in 2006, ARRA’s NH Energy Efficiency Block Grant for the town of Plymouth, USDOE’s Solar in Your Community Challenge that supported the creation of NH Solar Shares, NH-CDFA’s Community Grant that funded the solar installation and energy efficiency upgrades at the Bridgehouse and Whole Village Family Resource Center and along with co-founder Peter Adams organized hundreds of solar energy raisers and inspired the creation of other initiatives such as the Seacoast Area Renewable Energy Initiative (SEAREI) and the Hillsborough Area Renewable Energy Initiative (HAREI).
