Join us under the full moon for a community picnic! Bring a cozy blanket or chair and your favorite dinner in a basket for a casual, relaxing evening of great food and community conversation.  While you’re there, you’ll have the option to paint our rain barrel at the pavilion, learn about our Solar Shares expansion, and hear about our solar sheep grazing efforts. To keep the evening rolling, desserts will be provided. Whether you're looking to meet new neighbors, unwind under the stars, or pick up a new eco-friendly skill, this is the perfect night out. In all the ways we approach climate resiliency, end-of-life practices are often overlooked despite their significant carbon output and use of natural resources. NH's first independent natural burial cemetery, Oliverian Everlasting Burial Ground, addresses conservation of intrinsically valuable land while providing space for environmentally responsible after-death disposition.  Located in Benton Flats, Oliverian Everlasting welcomes all who are looking for a place to rest in nature. Offering natural burials—simple, authentic, affordable—on 28.9 acres of woodland, stream, and meadow that abut the White Mountain National Forest and State of New Hampshire and other conserved land, an essential part of the area's ecological picture. Many PAREI members have been part of this journey to create New Hampshire's first natural burial cemetery, and we hope that others will become involved. Join us for a tour of the land where representatives will share the vision for its future use as a burial ground, natural sanctuary, and recreational destination. Since its founding in 2004, PAREI has been a staple in the Plymouth community, connecting farmers, businesses, community members, and neighbors to a network of renewable energy and sustainable living practices. Today, PAREI serves 23 towns in central NH. PAREI believes in the power of building thriving, sustainable communities where every household has access to clean energy, healthy local food, and the knowledge to live more efficiently and independently. Join PAREI and the Central NH Chamber of Commerce for an organizational meet-and-greet to learn more about PAREI’s mission, services, and programs- including the Plymouth NH Solar Shares Expansion. The event will include host remarks from Executive Director Denise Hutchins, a solar demonstration from Solar Programs Manager Sandra Jones, a tour of the Local Foods Plymouth pavilion, a community activity, and a door prize raffle. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided. 

Don’t trash it, smash it! Join us for a pumpkin smash in the pasture and let the solar-grazing flock chomp on your leftover jack-o'-lanterns, cornstalks, and gourds! While you’re there, hear about Three Creeks Farm, their solar array that PAREI installed, and the Belknap County Conservation District grant that made it happen.
