Julie moved to the Plymouth area in 1988 and began working at Plymouth State, first in Career Development and then in Development, becoming the first Director of Advancement (alumni and development) and continued in that role for 10 years. She then spent ten years at Dartmouth College, first as a Planned Giving Officer and then became a Major Gifts Officer, raising funds for Dartmouth Medical School and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Julie then moved to New London Hospital, where she served as Director of Community Relations and Development. Wanting to eliminate a daily 100-mile commute, Julie obtained the position of Director of Development at Speare Memorial Hospital, where she served for three years. As a volunteer, Julie recently served on the fundraising committee of the Friends of Hebron Library and successfully raised funds for a library renovation. When not volunteering, she can be found in her studio weaving, painting or sewing.
